Jackson Hole: Designing an Industry-Shaping Conversation

Thomas Le Diouron

Impulse Partners convened senior executives from the construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors for a high-level strategic gathering designed to foster collaboration, accelerate innovation, and shape the future of the built environment. Held in the natural setting of Jackson Hole, at the foot of the Teton Range, the event brought together leading decision-makers from across the United States and Europe in a closed-door format focused on dialogue, alignment, and concrete action. The location was selected intentionally to move discussions beyond traditional boardroom dynamics. By removing participants from routine environments, the gathering aimed to encourage open exchange, strategic thinking, and long-term vision.
The gathering was structured around a carefully curated agenda addressing the major challenges facing the built environment sector, including digital transformation, innovation adoption, and structural barriers across the value chain. Participants engaged in a series of strategic working sessions, small-group roundtables, and private dinners, complemented by informal discussions during outdoor activities in the surrounding landscape. This off-site format was designed to build trust, encourage candor, and support deeper collaboration. A key focus of the discussions was the tension between the need for increased transparency to enable innovation and the persistence of traditional control models that can limit efficiency and scalability. By placing this friction at the center of the agenda, Impulse Partners facilitated open conversations around new operational and partnership models.
Rather than emphasizing thought leadership, the gathering prioritized tangible outcomes. Discussions were oriented toward launching pilot programs, forming strategic partnerships, and developing cross-Atlantic initiatives capable of delivering measurable impact across the built environment ecosystem. The event concluded with multiple collaborative initiatives in progress, reflecting the organizers’ objective to translate dialogue into execution.
This executive summit is part of Impulse Partners’ broader mission to design and activate innovation ecosystems that connect startups, corporates, investors, and public-sector stakeholders. By convening leaders in carefully selected environments and designing formats that encourage trust-based exchange, Impulse Partners aims to accelerate systemic transformation across construction, real estate, and infrastructure industries.
