Junior Consultant – Public Sector

A brand of Impulse Partners, Impulse Studio develops new offers and new businesses for its customers (major private accounts, public players and local authorities), positioning itself as a genuine external innovation unit and a factory for prototyping new products and services.

Impulse Studio's development is based on 3 principles:

• A seasoned methodology mastered by all the group's consultants, enabling them to manage projects in start-up mode through coaching or project management,
• A network of entrepreneurs in residence who can be mobilized to lead different projects,
• A network of external technical experts, particularly in digital development.

Impulse Studio differentiates itself in the market by its ability to connect the players in the regions and industries that make up the Impulse ecosystem, and thus to offer rapid access for market testing at every stage of the project.

As part of the growth and development of our Public Sector practice with local authorities, we are looking for a Junior Consultant - Public Sector for a 6-month internship. Working with all our teams and our ecosystem (local authorities, landlords, start-ups, partners), you will be involved in the following areas:

Strategy consulting and urban, real estate and territorial innovation:

You will be involved in strategy definition missions on behalf of various clients (intercommunalités, state bodies, social landlords, property developers), implementing action plans, sourcing high and low tech solutions and organizing workshops.

Ecosystem management via our Innovation Platforms:

• Research and pre-selection of innovative start-ups on themes such as innovative and sustainable housing, circular cities and territories, renewable energies and innovative materials,
• Meetings, exchanges and support for entrepreneurs and innovators with innovative solutions, with players such as Agence Nationale pour la Rénovation Urbaine, Banque des Territoires, Caisse des Dépôts Habitat, Paris Ouest La Défense, Paris Saclay, for example,
• Evaluation of innovations, business plans and applications (relevance to use cases, project quality),
• Organization of events with our partners (pitch sessions, calls for solutions, innovation and entrepreneurship awards),
• Follow-up of start-ups (matchmaking between customers, partners and innovative, relevant start-ups, assistance with financing procedures).

With a university degree (Master 1 or 2, Public Sector, planning, urbanism, geography...) or IEP, you ideally have internship experience in the sectors of public service, real estate, planning, urbanism, innovation and/or in an entrepreneurial environment.

You will have good interpersonal skills, and be able to combine rigor and analytical skills with organizational and writing skills.

A good level of English and a command of the Office pack (PowerPoint and Excel) are required.

You are keen to take part in the challenges of major transformations in the fields of regional development, innovative housing production and sustainable cities (construction, real estate, infrastructure, energy). You'll be working in a demanding environment, where you'll be able to take part and grow through the variety of topics you'll be tackling.
